The Action Track Explorer Wheelchair is an all-terrain powered wheelchair designed for outdoor adventure and off-road mobility. Equipped with rubber tracks instead of traditional wheels, it provides enhanced stability, traction, and manoeuvrability on rough terrains such as sand, mud, snow, and rocky paths. Built with durability in mind, it offers users greater independence and access to environments that standard wheelchairs cannot handle, making it ideal for exploration, travel, and outdoor activities.
The main feature of the chair is the rubber tracks. The rubber tracks have a metal chain moulded into the track, which, upon the drive shaft, drives the track. The track covers about half a square of area on flat surfaces. All of this is possible because the track is made from the highest quality rubber.
The Action Track Explorer runs dual 750-watt brushless motors, with dual heavy-duty gearboxes. The motors are specially fitted to work with the track chair. One of the most impressive features of the Action Track Explorer is that it has the power to pull a double cab bakkie.
The batteries include a 105 Amp/H Lithium-Ion battery pack. The battery is waterproof and can be submerged for short periods underwater. The batteries last 8 hours when fully charged.
The stainless spring suspension is a feature meant for comfort. There are 8 springs and 20 guide wheels in total to glide over any rough terrain.
The bucket seat is another comfort feature, and it is a must for safety reasons. It gives the Action Track Explorer a sporty aesthetic. This goes along with the racing seatbelt that is perfect for extreme climbing and tilting. The seatbelt has a quick-release buckle.
The Action Track Explorer seat frame can tilt 30 degrees backwards and forward. This is not just for comfort but also for adjusting the chair’s body centre of mass when climbing and descending.
The Action Track Explorer’s frame and parts are made from SST304 (stainless steel) and are TIG (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) welded to the highest standards. The safety wheels are bolted to the back and front of the frame. They are essential for safety when climbing extreme obstacles.
